2 Months Old

Happy Two Month birthday Miss Amelia!

I can't believe you're already two months old.
We are having so much fun with you that time is just flying by.

Look at some of the things that you've already learned and accomplished in just the few short weeks of your life.

~You love your Tummy Time~

Photobucket

You're getting really good at keeping that head up and have started lifting your chest off the ground. At just about 4 weeks you surprised Mom one day and rolled over. I turned you back onto your tummy and you did it again! Mommy still thought it was just coinsidence, but now you are a natural at it. Dr. Harrison couldn't believe it when we told her and she had to see it for herself. It only took you about 10 seconds after she laid you on your tummy to show off your new trick.

~Bath time is a favorite~

11-1-2010
You are still loving your bathes. The last few times we've bathed you you get so excited and kick those little legs like crazy. It caught you by surprise when you splashed your own self in the face.

~Such a BIG GIRL in your Bumbo ~

11-2-2010
Because you're already rolling over Dr. Harrison encouraged us to get you sitting up more to strengthen that little back. I thought you would be to little for the Bumbo, but right when I put you in it you were all grins. So excited to feel like a big girl. We put you on the table with us while I'm cooking or or while we're eating dinner. You love being apart of all the action.

~You've found your fists~

11-2-2010

Sucking on your fist is a favorite past time of yours. The thumb has only made it in a few times, you just like the whole darn thing. This little hobby of yours causes your face to constantly be wet with slobber because your rub your hand all over your face. Then you love giving Daddy those juicy kisses.

~You've been blowing bubbles~

11-4-2010

We've caught you a few times using all that slobber to blow cute little bubbles.

~Blanket by your face is a must~

Photobucket
It didn't take Mom and Dad long to discover that you like to cuddle up to your blankets. Just put the pacifier in and blanket by the face and those eyes instantly close.

~ You love being the center of attention~

11-5-2010

You are perfectly happy as long as someone is paying attention to you. Luckily, you've been spoiled with lots of friends and family that love to play. Here you are with Grandma Nessie. She can always get big grins and sometimes some little laughs out of you.

~Little Night Owl~

You've slept well throughout the night since you've been born. Usually only wake up around 5:30 and then again around 8:00. Mom can't complain about that at all! But lately you think your bedtime is getting later and later. 11 to 12 has become the normal time. Then you are sometimes sleeping in till 10:00. That's gotta change girl!

~ Your first Cabin visit~

10-24-2010

Daddy was so excited to take you to the cabin for your first time. We joined Grandma and Grandpa Walker there. Unfortunately, it was way too cold to do much of anything. We mainly just huddled around the stove, but I think you enjoyed it.

~Those darn shots~

10-29-2010

We went in for your 2 month check-up. You are growing right before our eyes.
Weight: 11lbs. 11 oz. (74%)
Length: 25 in. (100%)
Head: 40.5 cm. (89%)
You had a bunch of shots while we were there. No fun at all. When we first got there you were so talkative and happy with everyone that came in the room. We laid you on the bed and you were smiling at Daddy who was holding your hand. On the count of three you had three shots in your little thighs. It took a second for it to register, but then you let out a scream that we had never heard before. Poor baby. Your were a little cranky that night (and who could blame you), but by the next day, you were back to our sweet, happy Amelia.

~ You love to talk~

You're such a little chatter box. You love to talk back to anyone that will give you some attention. I've also found you talking to yourself more as well. I love listening to all your cooing noises.

~Such a smiler~

This is what I get to see all day long. Life couldn't get much better.

~You're first Halloween~

Photobucket

Daddy wanted to dress you up as something scary for Halloween. I won that battle. You were a cute Little Ladybug. Everyone ooed and ahhed over you as we showed you off at the Law School Halloween party.

We are so happy to have you in our lives and can't imagine life without you. We are in love. Daddy races home each day to see you. He can't stand being away for long. You're growing so quickly. Each day brings on something new for you. It's so fun to watch you learn and take in everything around you.

Love you Miss Amelia.

She is getting too big too fast. Enjoy these moments, it goes by quickly and then they are 18!
